I've got to admit, this ended up being a bit of a lucky bet, but bear with me. I'm still convinced that the principles around anchor legs will help me be more profitable and all of the legs in this bet were listed as 1+ and 2+ on the World Cup page for this game.
The lucky bit? Ferran Torres coming on and in stoppage time, committing a foul which received a yellow card, completing the two missing bits of the bet in one fell swoop.
I did a player only bet in the USA v Belgium game as well and that was only let down by Leandro Trossard not being fouled. That said, reading the report of the game this morning, it seems USA barely laid a glove on the Belgians, so getting within one leg was pretty good.
